I love the way Monty uses black and white to extend his lines beyond the panels sometimes, but then spills out of other panels with full colour for an entirely different effect. That is just one example of how beautifully Monty synthesizes vastly different styles and tones in this page alone.
The whole comic is loaded with juxtaposition, in terms of both the writing and the art, and it really adds a lot of life to the work as a whole. In fact, I would go as far as saying that juxtaposition itself is a theme within the narrative of the comic, which just adds even more levels of storytelling. Beautiful stuff.
